White-Collar Work Permit (外國專業人員工作許可)
Standard work permit for foreign professionals sponsored by a Taiwanese employer. Requires bachelor's degree + 2 years experience (or master's), minimum NT$47,971/month salary, and employer meeting capital requirements.
Intra-Company Transfer Work Permit (跨國企業內部調動)
For senior managers, executives, or specialists transferred from an overseas company branch/subsidiary to the Taiwan entity. Must have worked abroad for the same company for 1+ year.
Working Holiday Visa (打工度假簽證)
Up to 1 year for citizens of 18 partner countries (Australia, Canada, UK, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Ireland, NZ and more). Age 18–30 (18–35 for some countries). Work for any employer; no single employer more than 6 months.
Foreign Language Teacher Work Permit
For native speakers of English and other languages teaching at buxibans (cram schools), kindergartens, or K-12 schools. Bachelor's degree required. Must be from an eligible English-speaking country for English teaching roles.
Performing Artist / Sports Coach Work Permit
For foreign performing artists, professional athletes, and sports coaches contracted with Taiwanese organizations. Short-term performances ≤90 days may use visitor visa without full work permit.

Resident visa for foreign startup founders establishing innovative enterprises in Taiwan. Qualifying routes include VC funding, government startup park acceptance, international competition win, or NT$1M+ investment as legal representative. Renewable if business meets revenue/employment milestones.
Resident Visa for Investment (投資居留)
For foreign nationals investing minimum USD 200,000 (≈NT$6.4M) in a Taiwan company, or foreign company representatives managing Taiwan operations. Renewable while investment is maintained.

Visa-free entry for ~64 countries. USA, UK, EU Schengen, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, NZ: 90 days. Malaysia, Singapore: 30 days. Thailand, Philippines, Oman, Brunei: 14 days (trial program, extended to July 31 2026). No application required.
eVisa (電子簽證)
Online visitor visa for ~20 countries ineligible for visa-exempt entry — including Bahrain, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE, and others. NT$1,646. 30–60 days stay.
Landing Visa (落地簽證)
On-arrival visa for nationals of visa-exempt countries (excluding USA) holding emergency or temporary passports. NT$2,400. 30 days, non-extendable.
Visitor Visa (Single / Multiple Entry)
Standard sticker visa from BOCA overseas missions for tourism, business, or short-term study. NT$1,600 single / NT$3,200 multiple (USD 50/100 overseas). 14–90 days, extendable up to 180 days inside Taiwan. Visa marked 'A' can convert to resident status.

Digital Nomad Visitor Visa (數位遊牧簽證) Launched Jan 2025
For foreign remote workers (visa-exempt nationalities, aged 20+) employed by overseas companies. Up to 1 year stay. Age 30+: annual income ≥ USD 40,000; Age 20–29: ≥ USD 20,000. Minimum USD 10,000 bank balance. International health insurance required. Remote work for overseas employer only.

APRC — PhD Taiwan Graduate Fast Track (2 Years)
