Eligibility requirements

Have an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI) in Canada • Prove you have enough money to pay tuition fees, living expenses, and return transportation As of 19 February 2026, students in prerequisite programs (e.g. ESL, academic upgrading) receive shorter study permits. If a permit names a specific institution, a new permit is required before changing schools; students may only switch programs at the same level of study without a new permit.
